Part 1: First impression

1.SILENCE IS GOLD
I didn't plan to leave anything regards this movie. The stereotype of Japanese drama has been rooted in my mind for years since the first Japanese drama I watched. The vibe is just like wrapping your head in a plastic bag. You see everything happening in front of and you can hear the environment's background white noise. You feel choked and dizzy. I have hated this type of movie for many years.

At the very beginning, when I first played the movie and continued to play for 5 minutes, the sense just came back all of a sudden. Like the bell of math class ringing out, it reminds me of the embarkation of my dreamy journey.

EMPTY in the beginning, no one speaks and just background sounds, with the protagonist showing up with a far and back view of their body. I thought It was a kind of mystery.

5 minutes (or so) later, All things come to life. Birds' sounds, and people begin to speak a few words.

THIS SILENT PERIOD IS HIGHLY SIMILAR TO THAT OF AN IMPORTANT EXAM, SAY, THE SILENCE BEFORE THE LISTENING COMPREHENSION PART OF AN ENGLISH EXAM.

I understood the director's point: We should calm down and listen carefully for the story to unfold.

2.SERENDIPITY
